General Description
The Stimulen™ family of collagen products are all comprised of specially prepared polypeptides and modified collagen. The products form a protective gel on the wound bed. This gel protects new cells and tissue from dehydration. All forms provide a moist environment to promote rapid healing. All show moderate absorption and are non-adherent to the wound bed.Directions For Use
1. Cleanse the wound using standard protocol
2. Sprinkle a generous coating of the collagen powder, 1/32" to 1/8" depth.
3. Cover the wound bed and Stimulen™ collagen powder with a non-adherent secondary dressing* and secure with tape or appropriate covering.
4. Change the secondary dressing* and re-apply Stimulen™ collagen powder daily or as needed.
* We recommend Elastogel™ wound dressings.
** NOTE THAT THE STIMULEN™ COLLAGEN POWDER DOES NOT NEED TO BE REMOVED FROM THE WOUND SITE. The collagen powder is readily broken down by the natural enzymes present in most wound fluids.

1. Before use remove cap and peel off the safety seal.
2. Cleanse the target area using standard protocol.
3. Apply 2 to 4 drops of the lotion and spread evenly over the affected area.
4. Reapply as needed
1. Prepare the wound site using the standard protocol. If the wound is highly contaminated, a preliminary "treatment" to reduce bioburden may be appropriate.
2. Open the package and apply Stimulen™ onto the wound site. The nature of the wound will be a factor to consider when applying the product. Apply a gel sheet that is approximately the same size as the wound; cut to size.
Note: The Stimulen™ gel sheet is soluble and will form a gel in the wound cavity.
3. Cover the dressing with a non-adherent secondary dressing* and secure with tape or appropriate covering.
4. Maintain a moist, not wet, wound healing environment.
5. Change the secondary dressing and reapply the Stimulen™ gel sheet daily or as needed.
* We recommend Elasto-Gel™ wound dressings.
